Committee Descriptions
Bylaws Committee will ensure that the organization’s governing documents, remain up to date, legally compliant, and aligned with best practices for organizational governance. The committee will review, recommend changes, and ensure that the bylaws reflect the current needs and operations of the organization while maintaining legal integrity, operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with the Miracle Mile Improvement District Management Plan.

Civil Sidewalk Committee:
This committee focuses on maintaining a “clean and safe” community. It works to enhance the visual appeal of the Miracle Mile while recommending cost-effective safety and security measures for stakeholders.
Meeting Frequency: Monthly, plus attendance at the SPD Business Watch meeting on the 2nd Tuesday at 10 AM.
Economic Development Committee:
The mission of this committee is to support the economic growth and vitality of Stockton’s Miracle Mile by recruiting new businesses and retaining existing ones, as well as overseeing shared open spaces.
Meeting Frequency: Monthly
Events & Promotions Committee:
The committee focuses on promoting and growing the Miracle Mile business community, working together to achieve board-approved objectives.
Meeting Frequency: Monthly (up to weekly during event preparation)
Finance Committee:
The Finance & Budget Committee oversees the Miracle Mile Improvement District’s budgetary process, providing recommendations to the Board and ensuring compliance with income and expenses throughout the year.
Meeting Frequency: 1st Wednesday of each month at 4:00 PM.
Ad Hoc Asset Management Committee: established to provide specialized oversight and guidance on the management of the MMCID’s assets, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic goals, operational needs, and fiduciary responsibilities. The committee will focus on addressing specific asset management issues, evaluating opportunities for optimization,

Ad Hoc Executive Director (ED) Selection & Transition Committee: A temporary, task-focused committee to oversee the process of selecting a new Executive Director (ED) and managing the transition between outgoing and incoming leadership. This committee ensures that the search, selection, and transition are handled efficiently, professionally, and with minimal disruption to the organization’s operations.

Ad Hoc $20M Capital Improvement Committee to provide oversight, guidance, and advocacy to ensure completion of the $20 million capital improvement initiative. The committee will ensure that the project is managed effectively,, meets project milestones, and delivers the desired outcomes aligned with MMCIDs organization’s long-term vision and objectives.
